"Oh..." Bow had known plenty of people like that in Germany, and a few in Korea. They all seemed to think he'd be adorable in a skirt... "Do you miss her? I mean... you said she was your only friend, right?"
"..Ah! She's who's taking care of your snakes?" He took a sip of his coffee, finishing it off. As he did so, another thought came to him.
"But, still... you have to have a favorite food, right?"

"She is. She keeps wanting to make two different species of them breed." He sighed, rolling his eyes behind his glasses. Not that he minded baby snakes, but she never did seem to get the fact that you cant force a python, and a viper to breed, and enjoy it. They were very very different snakes. And very very mean to each other most of the time.
He shook his head when Bow asked if he missed her. "I talk to her often. I came to Japan for a reason though." He said quietly. "She's insanely jealous, and I keep her happy by mailing her the odd things I find here." Like candy colored clothes. Picking those out made him feel more awkward then he had a few moments ago.
A favorite food, a favorite food. "I guess..." He scratched his chin, trying to figure what he ate most often. "I like spicy stuff." He said with a shrug. "The spicier the better. It's technically not a food..but its what ill eat more often then not if I can find it. What about you?" Hey if he was going to get asked questions, he'd ask in return.

"...Is that even possible?" Two different species mating? That's like two men sleeping together and then wondering why they didn't have a baby. Bow chuckled at his own thoughts, just imagining it.
"Oh, well, that's good. Still, there's something to be said about seeing your friend's face, right?
Bow smiled, tilting his head to think. "Well... I really like sweets, but spicy food is good too. My favorite has to be vanilla cookies."

"Er...I'll admit I cant cook." Actually he burned water. "And the one or two cookies I've had were those stale store bought ones so I can't agree with you there.' He bought all of his food, and just tossed it in the oven or micro-wave to warm it up. He was really hopeless, especially when the power went out. Then he couldn't make instant coffee at all, because hot tap water equaled sludgy, not so hot coffee.
"Sweets though?" He bit his bottom lip for a moment, hoping at least that he didn't sound worse then he had earlier.. "Well since you agreed to come see my snakes, I'll get you some sweets then. Since I can't offer you real drinks or food at my house tomorow." He could, but he'd probably give him food poisoning.

"I was sort of forced to learn," Bow admitted, looking down at the table. "My mother never cooked, and even I can get tired of junk food after a while." Bow chuckled, shaking his head. "You've never had a good cookie? You don't know what you're missing."
He sighed, smiling across the table at the older man seated there. "Alright, but can I cook you dinner?"

His ear tips went red again, and he looked down at his cup to hide his blush, only to realize he had drank all his coffee, and he continued to stare at the table hard for a few moments. It was sad, someone his age shouldn't be getting this flustered over something as simple as someone merely asking to cook him dinner. And yet..and yet no one had offered to cook him dinner before. Still, it was just a friendly suggestion, and he cleared his throat.
"I suppose, you don't have to though." He didn't want him to feel like he had to! "I'd rather not make you do all that work just to feed me." He squirmed, looking hopefully around for the waiter again. More coffee would be a good distraction

"Oh, nonsense!" Bow smiled, intertwining his fingers within each other. He leaned forward again, resting his elbows on it. He watched Darren, his smile growing a little. This man was so cute, he got flustered so easily. He could get used to this. He found himself trying to think of more ways to get him to blush.
"I like to cook, anyway. Besides, it's no good to skip meals."

"Ah.." He briefly looked up, dark eyes meeting the others once more, and he tried to give him a smile, but he was still red and very confused. He felt so silly and immature, but he couldn't stop it at all.
"I know its not, but I'm never really hungry." He said easily. "And, I tend to rebel if people tell me to eat..or well do things." That was his main pet peeve, people telling him what, and how to do something, One of the other quick ways on ruining a friendship he thought.
He was surprised to learn that they had been in both coffee shops for some time now, and this marked a record of the most time spent with someone, and having enjoyed it.
"You mentioned you had things to do." He said quietly. "Im sure you dont want to spend all day cooped up in this coffee shop. If you don't live far, I'll give you my address for tomorow? Or I can find you here again." He was trying very very hard not to blush, at least darker. It was after all, only two people sharing an appreciation for snakes, and some dinner as well.

"Most people are like that, you know. No one likes to be told what to do." Bow smiled, leaning back in his chair and glancing at the clock. Oooh, cuttin' things close. "But, when I tell you to eat dinner tomorrow, you'd better do it." He chuckled, nodding his head.
"Yeah, I've got work to do." He sighed, still smiling, "Oh, you can just give me your address. That'll be easier."

He took his pen once more, a peice of scrap paper from his pocket and scribbled it down for Bow. A part of him didn't think he would actually show up, and thought that this might have just been him amusing himself. Still, he gave him the paper with one of those shy smiles of his. The apartments he lived in were thankfully not very far at all, and a safe enough area for someone around Bow's age to be walking around in alone.
"There. Just come by any time tomorrow." He said lightly, doing his best to seem like it wasn't a big deal. Though truth be told, the thought of someone in his apartment that wasn't himself? It scared him a bit..

[You need to decide which building Darren lives in, 'cause we have to move it there.]
"Alright, it probably won't be until later. " Bow took the scrap paper, only glancing at it before he slid it into his pocket. He moved to stand, tossing his coffee cup into a nearby trash can. Maybe he could finish the article early and spend the rest of the day napping. "What kind of meat do you prefer?"

He didn't get up, merely watched him with a bemused look. "Chicken, I guess?" He shrugged. He wasn't particularly picky all in all. He remembered his half of the promise, to get him sweets and something that was actually drinkable, and he rubbed the back of his neck, trying to smile again.
"I'll see you tomorow then." He said softly, bowing his head. "Thank you for the coffee by the way, and it was ah..very nice to meet you."
