An acquaintance? ...New acquaintance? With the way Nao seemed to keep glancing at him, it seems that there was more to it than that. Or perhaps Nao hoped there would be. How the hell did he get roped into this again? To be honest, Takeshi didn't mind Nao greeting his acquaintance. In fact, it gave him a chance to go back to his own shopping. The two suddenly seemed enveloped in their own world together - which was completely fine by Takeshi. He had little business with being involved. Looking over the section they were near, he grabbed some bell peppers and a bunch of asparagus. He was feeling steak-ish tonight and he recalled a recipe he had stowed away that would call for bell peppers. He placed them into produce bags and placed them into his hand basket.
He heard the others starting their conversation as he busied himself. Seems like Nao had found different company to help with his stew shopping. Takeshi thought this the better opportunity to let him - and his acquaintance - continue their "better acquainting" with out him having to be a third wheel. If there was anything he desperately tried to avoid, it was being the third wheel. He'd had enough of that feeling with his family and, specifically, his brothers.
"If you'll both pardon my interruption," he butted in softly, looking to Nao, "Best of luck on your stew hunt, Nao-kun. I'm sure it will turn out fine."
With that, he gave the new stranger a gentle nod and went on his way. Glancing at his basket, he figured he had enough to last him at least a few days. Now for something a little stiff..

Nao flushed when Toshihiro greeted him again. The boy looked like he could use the sleep. Luckily, he wasn't looking in the others basket at all, instead he was focusing on something else. Some other random vegetable. Leeks would go good in stew, if cut up fine enough, right? "I hope... you've been doing well since our last meeting. You looked so tired then.. Your... color looks better.." It put his mind at rest.
Shifting, he looked too Takeshi and frowned. Had he made him uncomfortable by speaking with an acquaintance? Well, he said he had other things to attend to. "Thank you for your help, Takeshi-san. Perhaps... we'll meet again?" New friends were fun; but Takeshi seemed very nervous, much like Nao right now. He bit down on his lip and sighed a little. He hadn't meant to make Take into a third wheel. He was planning on introducing him and everything. It wasn't often Nao got the courage to talk to someone, let alone a stranger.
Shoulders straightening a little, he looked back to Toshihiro and offered a kind smile. "I'm... attempting a stew, like he said, but... I don't think I know what goes in it. ....C-can you possibly help? I mean..." He groaned. "The vegetables I picked out seem.. good enough, but what... about the beef? I don't know what kind..." He had a feeling he was going to end up blowing up his kitchen with this experience.

Toshihiro looked at Nao, “Are you making it tonight?” Toshihiro turned more interested in Nao and not thinking as much about looking like a rag doll. “Stew is very simple, what kind of meat do you have in plan? Beef stew and chicken stew…You can also use lamb, though I’ve never had lamb before.”
Toshihiro has been working in the dinner for too long even though he didn’t make the food he’d taken classes and even learn some stuff from his mother. Toshihiro set his basket down and looked around, “Beef stews are more hardy so carrots and potatoes would work well with that.” He was very excited as he walked over to them.

"I was planning on making it tonight.. and let it cook all night so the meat would be tender. I know -that- much at least about it," the elder man gave a small laugh and shook his head, cheeks flushed lightly.
You could use lamb in stew? That sounded expensive, but good. "I think... I may just go with beef. But what kind of beef do I use?" Nao asked, following the taller man, smiling brightly. He was getting more relaxed the more time he spent with the, obviously, younger man. The shorter man had to pick up his pace to keep up with the longer-legged Toshihiro, but he didn't mind. Maybe he'd lose weight this way. Maybe Toshihiro would.... like me if... He shook his head. If Toshihiro didn't like him now, as he was, then it wasn't meant to be. Not that he thought it was. It was only their second meeting and nothing more than a crush. So far.

Toshihiro looked over some carrots, “That’s good, just make sure you keep an eye on it because if you let the water boil out your meat will become jerky.” Toshihiro picked up his basket and took out the leeks. “Leeks are good in strews too.” Toshihiro looked over his bunches and said, “But you should get fresher ones. I picked these because they are not quite ready let but by tomorrow or the next day they will be perfect.”
Toshihiro dropped his pack of Leeks back into this basket with his rice, noodles and box of tampons and said ignoring his own basket. “That the great thing about slow cooking that even the cheep meat will work. I use to slow cook stuff all the time before I got into college.” Toshihiro stopped as if he was thinking back on nicer times.

"I guess.... it'd be a good thing that I'm always up at night. I can never sleep a full eight hours without getting up for water, or checking on things." He was paranoid at night, that was to say. He didn't have an alarm on his apartment that worked. And the super didn't intend to fix it any time soon. But that was alright. He liked being up and about anyway.
"So, cheap meat would be good.. That's a relief." He didn't know how to handle some of the more expensive meats. "....Would you mind... coming over and helping me? In the kitchen, I mean. U-uhm... It's difficult for me to cook anything."

Toshihiro chuckled, “Well really more expensive meat just doesn’t need to be prepped as much.” Toshihiro already had the warm smell of hot beef stew when he hear the invitation. Toshihiro thought about Sunday and besides studying for this classes he was pretty free. “I would love to help you.” Toshihiro loved to cook and loved food even though he didn’t get good amounts of it often enough.
Toshihiro picked up is basket and set the box of tampons on a random shelf, “Let’s go look at the meat. The butcher here is friends with Cook so we could get a good deal.” Toshihiro headed towards the meat department with his jingly chains that moved when he walked.

Nao had just caught the box of tampons as it went to the shelf and he suppressed a chuckle. So, the other had been just as nervous as he was? Smiling softly he followed the younger where he went and tilted his head to the side, looking at random things. Should he buy soda? he didn't have anything at his house. "...Should I buy some soda or beer or something....?" He asked, more to himself, but it was still out there.
"I-I mean... If you're coming over... the only thing in my apartment is water, so..."

Stopped Toshihiro looked back at Nao, “Uhm…I’m fine with water. But if you want to get something I’m not very picky.” Toshihiro said in an almost flirtatious way. He wanted to see how Nao would react. It was hard to find partner whether you were in the close or not.
Toshihiro looked down the ally with soda and bottled water. He only drank soda at work…caz it was free. “Though some beer would be nice.” something that would calm him a bit once he got over his getting to cook real food for a change.

He chuckled and bit down on his bottom lip, looking down the soda isle before hearing the request. Flirting was a good thing, and it made his heart beat faster. Because it made him feel good; like Toshihiro was really into him. He gave a soft laugh and a nod. "Beer would be good..." It'd been a while since he actually drank with someone. Drinking by himself was fine, but he wanted to spend more time with Toshihiro.
"Ok.. Let me go get a six pack, then," he said, trying to be flirtatious as well, taking a hold of the other's shirt, they made a detour to the beer isle and gave a soft chuckle, hoping he didn't mind being tugged. He wanted to go for the hand, but last time Toshihiro didn't take his hand. Nao wasn't put off by that, he just knew it was a bit early for touching like that. But tugging was alright, wasn't it?
"I hope you don't mind. I don't really like shopping by myself..." He explained, sighing softly. Though he lived by himself, he hated actually being by himself. Which is probably why he was never home.

Toshihiro chuckled as his shirt was pulled on. He was flushing a bit as he thought about Nao flirting back with him. Toshihiro followed Nao “Nao-san?”
Toshihiro took Nao’s hand, “There is something I need to say.” Toshihiro sighed and looked around. “Nao-san, I’m, I’m not very open…It’s something I’m working on.” Toshihiro looked down he wanted Nao to understand he’d really liked the older boy tuging him along. “but if you could just give me some time. I’d really like to see where this could go.” Toshihiro was hoping he wasn’t being to bold.

They seiyuu smiled at the chuckle he heard and then blinked as his hand was taken. He turned around, when they stopped and listened carefully to the words. So, was his flirting a bad thing right now? Or should he tone it down; though it was his second attempt at flirting. Still, he put a pleasant smile on his face, no where near as bright as before. At least Toshihiro was still interested. From what he gathered anyway.
"Ok. It's ok, Toshihiro-kun. ....If.. you want to see where this could go... We'll... follow your pace, right?" he said softly, looking up to the other before chuckling again. "Don't.. worry. I'm not.. ......" He paused to figure out how he should word the next phrase. "I'm not as bold, I suppose..."

Toshihiro smiled and quickly licked Nao's knuckle, "Thanks for understanding." Toshihiro let go of Nao and walked pass him, "Come on let's get the rest of the stuff!" he smiled back at Nao as he winked then walked to the beer.
The row was full of different kinds of beer from all over the world. Toshihiro looked over there selection not sure what kind they should have, "So many choices..." Toshihiro picked up a bottle that had a shark on it and was reading the back. He waited for Nao to catch up, he realized that his legs were longer so he'd gotten ahead of himself.

As his knuckles were licked, he flushed and let out a startled noise. Nao stood there as his, apparent, crush moved down the isle, standing there thinking, flushed and actually happy. He bit down on his lip as he shook his head hard and moved to follow him.
He saw the bottle the other picked up and tilted his head to the side, getting a little closer to read with him. "I always.... drink the lite beers. When I do drink. They taste better, I think..." he said, giving him a little hint of what Nao liked to drink. "But since you are going to be the guest, you can pick.."

Toshihiro put the bottle back, “Like I said I’m not picky. As long as it doesn’t have any kind of berry in it.” Toshihiro Smiled at Nao, “I’m allergic.” Toshihiro picked a pack of lite beer. “This will work for me.” He showed the pack to Nao looking for a nod of approval.
Toshihiro looked down at his basket of noodles, rice and leeks. Thinking about anything else they would need for the stew. “I guess we’ll go get some meat now?”
