[Srry I had no idea wtf the pet store was called xD. to YUUTO only plz]
It was with a timid step that Suika first stepped into the pet store. He could never remember which stores had the energetic greeting at the front door, they always surprised and frightened him. Especially since half the time, he wasn't expecting it. He would respond to the customer greeting, of course, since it was polite but he didn't come here to talk to humans...though sometimes he wound up doing so anyway. Oftentimes he would be engaged in conversation with young schoolchildren who came to play with the cute animals.
Peering around the room, he made a beeline for the puppies. Biting his lip, he resisted the urge to pick one up and just squeeze it in a hug...since oftentimes the puppy itself did not enjoy that. He felt his chest tighten with want and he sighed, wishing he didn't hate apartment-searching so.
"Hello," he said softly to a puppy that came close to him through the little fencing between them, bending over to look the pup in the eyes. "You're...so cute." He reached a hand out and his fingers found the softness of it's ears, the pup pushing his little head into his palm. His heart...melted.

[lol, 's alright...I'm not sure I've even decided on it yet anyway >_> ]
In the back room, the last pieces of dog food had fallen into the dish when the bell of the door being opened rang and Yuuto gave a smile. He quickly set down the bag and picked up the two bowls, heading out into the main area of the shop.
However, when he looked around the room, there seemed to be no one there. Maybe the people changed their minds? The man gave a shrug and headed over to the small pen that held the puppies, realizing, then, why he hadn't seen the person at first: he had been crouched down. "Ah! Welcome!" Yuuto said with a pleasant smile, still holding the two bowls, one in each hand, "Are you considering getting a dog?" He asked, a question he often asked his customers when they seemed particularly interested in something, before turning his attention to the pups, clicking his tongue to get their attention as he set the bowls of food on the floor. He chuckled a little as they attacked his hands before figuring out that the food they smelled was actually in the bowls, straightening again and returning his gaze to his new customer. Strangely enough, he didn't think he had seen this one before.

Suika's hand flinched away from the puppy as soon as he heard the voice of the shop owner. The puppy gave him a quizzical look, wondering why he'd stopped petting him and then stepped forward and whimpered for more affection. "Uh...well, I'm just looking..." He said quietly, flushing a light pink. "Er, sorry..." Apologizing when he did this was now natural, since he sometimes encountered the people who felt annoyance when the customer was only 'window shopping'.
But his attention was quickly nabbed as the puppy he'd been petting heard the food arrive and quickly ran over to it. Suika stood, watching them with a smile suddenly flickering back onto his face. He found every aspect of puppies cute and even when they were adult dogs, he found them cute. All the puppies energetically ate and he couldn't help a small laugh as he watched them knock bits of kibble onto the floor, lapping them up anyway.

"There's no need to apologize, I understand," Yuuto said with another smile before turning to watch the puppies along with Suika. "They certainly are cute, aren't they?" He added, hearing the laugh, but his expression suddenly turned slightly serious when he saw the head of the large, grey Wolfhound lowering into the pen to sniff at the food, "No, Zeki, that's theirs," he said sternly, and the hound paused, looking rather guilty that he had been caught, and wandered over to his master and received a pat on the head.

Suika didn't want to disturb the puppies during mealtime so he watched them. He blinked as the larger dog, a breed he didn't know, lowered his head into the pen at the smell of the food. It was a big, beautiful dog and he admired it...wondering about what it was like as a puppy. He heard the command as well, looking up at the shop owner. He bit his lip once before mustering an ounce of courage. This person was around puppies a lot, and seemed very nice.
"U...uhm..." he began, unsure at first. "Is that your dog?" He asked, his hand holding onto the edge of his shirt. It was a nice day, so he'd worn a pair of knee-length shorts with his shirt instead of jeans. As usual, his clothing was of a summer style - surfer shorts and an over sized vintage wash tee.

"Yes he is!" Yuuto said with pride, patting the beast on his shoulder before gesturing toward the man, "say hello, Zeki." Obeying, the dog wandered over to Suika, smiling and panting as he sat before him, his head almost as high as his chest and his tail swaying happily behind him. "He's an Irish Wolfhound, the biggest breed. I had to have him imported from America," Yuuto said with a light chuckle, "He may look like a monster, but he's actually quite a teddy bear. The only problem with his cuddling is that he puts my legs to sleep!" He added, his chuckle turning to a light laugh.

Suika watched the dog come over to him, a bit surprised but not scared. It was humans who scared him more, really. The dog was so...so...cute! Though puppies with their small size and energy were cute, so were big dogs with their matured personality and quirks. This one seemed to follow his master quite well, and Suika could recognize that meant he was well trained.
Since the dog had come to him, it seemed only fair that he pet him. It was weird to be so close to eye level, though, so he was careful at first before reaching a hand out to pet behind Zeki's ear. "D-does he know any tricks?" He asked, though it seemed 'say hi' must've been a kind of trick.

Zeki leaned in to the hand that was scratching him, grunting happily as his master chuckled at the question of tricks. "He does a few, but he's more inclined to lay about unless we're outside." As he spoke, Yuuto moved to one of the nearby cages that held a rather large parrot, opening it and reaching in for the now empty water dish. The bird, interested in what he was doing in its cage, wandered over, moving along the bars until it managed to get onto the man's shoulder. With a chuckle, Yuuto humored the thing with a stroke to its head and beak before prompting it onto his upper arm and leaning in to place it back on the perch inside.
"Ah, I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Takuma Yuuto, I own the shop. And you are?" He asked, closing the cage and watching the other man.

An expression of delight sprung onto Suika's face as Zeki responded to his petting him positively, rubbing less self-conciously about it. If he were around a dog or puppies, he'd often relax and be able to talk a bit easier. And Zeki was such a nice dog, too...He kept petting him, once again wanting nothing more than to raise a dog of his own. He didn't dare walk over to the area with the cats, the sight of them made him nervous.
"Ah...Natsumiya Suika," he said, looking up at the other man. "N-nice to meet you, Takuma-san." He offered a smile this time and brushed some of his hair behind his ear.

Yuuto simply smiled back for a moment as he watched the other man. He certainly was a cutie. "It's nice to meet you too, Natsumiya-san," he said before moving to a counter at one side of the store, "Ah, you'll have to excuse my moving around, I'm afraid you caught me in the middle of the animals' food and water," he added with a slightly embarrassed laugh, filling the dish from a small sink.
Zeki, however, was more than happy to stay right where he was, standing and placing his side against the new customer, one paw set on the man's foot as the beast put some of his weight against him, panting happily. He liked this one, he had a good feel.

Suika pet the lovable beast, amazed by his friendliness. It wasn't surprising, but he was so glad to see that the dog was responding well to him. He wouldn't have been happy if he'd been disliked, but quite obviously, Zeki was liking him. The way he pressed his weight to Suika made him laugh, scratching his fingers behind the dog's ear. "You're gonna knock me over," he murmured with a smile, though he was sure he wouldn't be.
He hadn't realized, though, that he was interrupting Yuuto. "I-I'm sorry if I'm disturbing your work Takuma-san," he said to the other man, "I just...well, I like...dogs." He laughed a bit, thinking that it was a bit of a strange hobby, that he liked to visit pet stores. He hadn't been to this one, he supposed...since he couldn't recall meeting Yuuto.

Yuuto gave a light laugh as the other man apologized, turning off the stream of water and wandering back to the parrot's cage, "It's alright, really! If I kicked people out every time I had work to do, I would go out of business!" He said with another chuckle as he opened the cage door again, continuing as he replaced the water dish, "And I can understand. There are plenty of others that come in just to look at the animals or even play with them a little. Mostly children, of course, but a few like yourself."
Yuuto finished his task and closed the cage again, making sure the bird stayed inside, and turned back to his guest, wiping his hands on his apron, "I'm guessing you live in an apartment that doesn't allow larger pets?" He asked with an understanding smile, Zeki leaving the scratchings of Suika to get a pat from his master before wandering back over to his large dog bed in the corner by the cash register.

Suika flushed bright red again, the psychological comfort of having Zeki nearby him while he spoke gone...but he would manage, he was already feeling pretty comfortable around Yuuto. "H-how did you know?" He asked, playing with a strand of his hair, "I...I can't have any pet at my apartment..." He wilted a bit, recalling that he hadn't really checked the pet policy when he'd gotten to his new place.
Kneeling beside the cage of puppies, he watched them with a smile on his face. "I...really want one, though...I...I guess someday I can find a new place..." He said, biting the inside of his lip. He'd been saying that for quite some time.

Yuuto watched as the other man flushed and nervously toyed with his hair, finding it absolutely adorable. When the other wilted at the thought of not being able to have any pets at all, the shopkeeper had the sudden urge to just go over and hug the man.
However, that wouldn't exactly be the most professional thing, now would it?
Instead, he simply set a comforting hand on Suika's shoulder as he, too wandered back to the puppy pen, giving a sympathetic smile, "It's difficult to simply get up and move, though, isn't it? I'm sure you'll find something. In the mean time, you are welcome to come in any time you like. You can even play with them if you want," he added, his smile turning more cheerful.
Of course, he wouldn't admit it out loud, but his reason for offering such a thing was actually a little selfish: the other man really was quite beautiful.
((baaack.....for the time being XD hopefully my dry spell has dissipated >_ >))

There was little that made Suika as uncomfortable as things like interviews. He was terrible on the phone, too. He'd bottle up or just hang up without thinking. It happened with anyone he wasn't very close to. When he'd gotten his current apartment, he'd had to sit with the apartment manager for hours, not knowing that he'd been asked, more or less, to just hang out. His new assumption was that that was what moving required. Not to mention, he had to talk to a real estate agent daily.
His face visibly brightened at the approval of Yuuto, since he often was worried shopkeepers would be upset if he just wanted to play with the puppies but wasn't going to buy them. He nodded quickly. "Th-that would be wonderful!" He said with a wide smile, mirroring Yuuto. Was his smile infectious...? "May I...pick one up?"
