Name: Shingo Katori 香取 慎吾
Nick Name: N/A
Age: 30
Occupation: Art teacher; High School
Appearance: Standing at five foot six inches, Katori doesn't show much of his American history accept for in his eyes. Long black hair, which is very thick, is usually pulled back into some kind of sloppy ponytail or bun, and his bangs are often pushed up with a headband of sorts. Almost shaped dark blue eye are the most stunning part about this man.
Usually he's found in a normal teacher's outfit, but when he's not teaching, he's wearing anything comfortable and clean. He isn't picky about the way he looks. Weighing a good 125 lbs, he's a bit on the thin side, but he, once again, doesn't care.

Personality: A very apathetic man, he often day dreams in his own class, so lectures aren't an option. Since he's an art teacher, he teaches something he absolutely adores. Friends and family find him very difficult to get along with because he often doesn't care, or isn't listening to them enough. That, and he is a bit of a slob and doesn't do house keeping at all.
History: He was born in New York, in the USA because his mother was American and was working there. His father was working over-seas as a translator for a Japanese company he worked for. When his father left for Japan again, he didn't know that the girlfriend he left was pregnant until she called him and told him Katori was going to be living with him. She was much to busy for a kid. Katori was five when this happened.
So he boarded a plane and flew to meet his father for the first time. In his elementary school, he got picked on for not having a mother and for being an mix. He came home to his father, crying every day because the kids would bully him. His father would tell him: "Don't care about what anyone thinks and you will be happy." Katori took that a little too seriously.
Graduating high school, Katori knew he wanted to teach art to children, as he'd come to love it for letting him vent his emotions. He pays attention to the overweight kids, or the social out casts. Making sure they don't go down a dark path and open them up to the wonderful world of expressionism.
Additional: Born in December, near Christmas, his birthday was always celebrated on Christmas, and he's continued this tradition until his father died three years ago. Now he doesn't celebrate and doesn't really want to.
