Kisuke groaned lightly before his eyes slowly opened. His vision took a while to focus, and when it did he was staring at the door to the roof. He blinked dumbly for a moment before sitting up quickly. “Aah!” He pulled up the sleeve of his black jumper and stared at his watch, it was the end of the day already, and he'd missed Youji-sensei's class. “Kuso!” He swore and stood up, scooping his backpack from the floor as he ran into the building and down the stairs.
When he made it to the drama classroom he was panting and he leaned against the door-frame heavily, everyone was already gone, but his teacher was still there. “S-sen..sei!” He said as he tried to catch his breath. “I'm sorry! I really am! I fell asleep and I didn't realise the time and now it's too late!” He didn't want to get in trouble, and he didn't want to make his teacher angry with him, but he supposed he'd get shouted at and lose his only real chance of actually having someone he could spend time with. It had been a silly wish anyway, since he was a student and Shinogu was a teacher, what kind of adult would want to spend their time entertaining a dumb, useless kid like him.

He had been in the middle of packing his items and belongings when he heard someone rushing down the hallway. "No running down the hallways, ple--" He began, surprised to find Kisuke huffing at the doorway. "S-Sen...sei!" He stared at him, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. “I'm sorry! I really am! I fell asleep and I didn't realise the time and now it's too late!” His eyes softened. Had he run all the way here to tell him something as silly as that?
With the way he was panting, it was as if a fire was burning somewhere. Shinogu found the act rather... well... "Honestly, Kisuke." He began. Cute. "Don't worry about it. As long as you don't do it again, ok?" He smiled, waving his hand to come closer. "You didn't miss too much, but here's the worksheet I handed out in class... and we basically went over..." He could hear himself talking, but Kisuke's face seemed to capture his attention. And, then the truth of the matter hit home. Something needed to be done... but he would have to get Kisuke's trust first. It was alarming, hearing the school board entrust him with such a big task.
He moved closer to the teen, pointing at the paper at a part he had to explain. He had a new bandage on today. He wondered what had happened. It was distracting, and he knew that this was a little beyond what he was meant to do, his eyes wandering over Kisuke's large frame. He was developing into a man, he knew, his eyes wandering over the curve of his Adam's apple as Kisuke spoke quietly. Shinogu turned his head a bit to eye the paper diligently, something warm swarming deep inside the pit of his stomach.

Kisuke managed to finally catch his breath, walking into the room as the teacher called him over feeling decidedly silly. But he hadn't been yelled at. “I won't do it again, I promise I'll try my hardest!” There was that word again, 'promise' a word that had very little meaning in Kisuke's world, but he decided he really would try to keep this one, for his teacher who was kind to him.
“Ah.” He turned his attention to the worksheet on the desk, his eyes following Shinogu's fingers as the moved to point to each different part, he listened to what the other man had to say as well, oblivious to the look he was receiving. “I get it... I think.” He said in a soft voice, his tone deep as usual. He turned his head in time to see Shinogu turning his own to glance at the paper, had he been looking at Kisuke this whole time? The teens cheeks colored and he wondered if he'd noticed the new bandaid on his other cheek, lifting a hand to rub at the back of his neck slightly with nervousness.
The older man made Kisuke feel a bit strange, though he didn't know why or in what way exactly. He decided he liked this man a lot, he was nice and understanding and no-one else had treated him like that since he was a child. “But... I missed what we did in class and the other home-work too, I'm stuck.” He said in a defeated sort of tone, hanging his head.

He really was hopeless, wasn't he? He justified his next set of actions as intervention, and nothing more than that, watching as his cheeks colored. "We can have study sessions either here... or at my home." He said softly. Inwardly he knew he shouldn't have said those things... it wasn't a smart thing to do--inviting a student to his home; however, Kisuke was a special case. Special... the board was willing to agree with whatever he thought was deemed necessary to put Kisuke to rights in life.
The board was hiding something... and some part of him was grateful that he didn't know all there was to know of the situation. It was bigger than him, and for that he would do his best. "I'm on my way home, and I'm sure the buses are gone by now... shall we go?" He asked as he slung his bag over his shoulder.

Kisuke blinked and looked up again, staring at the other man as if in shock. “Really!?” He seemed excited, which he was, not because he'd be getting his home-work done, but because he would be spending time away from home, no matter what the consequences were when he finally returned, and he would be spending more time with his teacher, which for some reason seemed important to Kisuke now.
“Thank you!” He wanted to hug the older male, but he didn't because it would make the teacher think he was weird. He scooped the sheet up from the desk and folded it into four to stuff in his pocket, shouldering his back-pack into a more stable position as he followed his teacher from the room. “Does Youji-Sensei live alone?” He asked with a tilt of his head. “Or with his girl-friend maybe?” An innocent question, though he had no idea of his teachers sexual preference.

"Does Youji-sensei live alone? Or with his girl-friend maybe?" He didn't answer him at first. Just like that for a child to ask such things. Regardless, Shinogu blushed at his curiosity, his back to him. "Ah, no. I live alone." He said steadily. He was surprised it came out as calmly, as he was rather nervous. Not many people knew about his sexual orientation, and he planned to continue to keep it that way. It proved meddlesome when others found out, and either they were weirded out, or hated the fact that he was gay.
"Now that we're on the topic of girlfriends, isn't there a girl you like, Kisuke? Surely, a young strapping boy such as yourself would enjoy the looks of some pretty girl here on this campus?" Shinogu asked aloud as they went to the familiar parking lot. It seemed that this was their routine, now. There was no turning back, Shinogu reminded himself. He seemed somewhat jealous of the thought that Kisuke could ever have vested interests in a girl. He quietly reminded himself of what situation he was getting into with dangerous thoughts such as those. He found his place, shutting out those thoughts just as quickly as they'd come.

Kisuke tilted his head at the teachers answer, he had been sure someone as nice as his teacher would have someone he liked, or was in a relationship with. He shrugged, not picking up any uncomfortable feelings from his teacher as they walked down the corridors. His hands had slipped into the pockets of his blue plaid school trousers, looking off to the side into an empty classroom as they neared the exit. The question caught him off guard and he was silent for a long time, his expression changing from a strained sort of look to irritation and then blank again. “I don't like girls. They're nasty.” He finally said in a flat tone of voice, getting into the passenger side of his teachers car and stuffing his back-pack between his feet again, just as he had done the day before. “Even if I did I'm useless to them so there's not even a point.” He spoke in the same voice and shrugged as he strapped himself in. [ To Shinogu's Apartment]
